This is a unique veggie steamer, designed at the Clay Coyote by Tom. It's perhaps the most used pot in our kitchen and rarely gets put away. The Veggie Steamer consists of 3 pieces- a plate, the steamer bowl and a lid. About 9" overall diameter, the plate is 8" in diameter and the colander is approximately 3.5" deep. It holds about 3 cups of veggies-enough for 4 easily. The colander section and the plate can be used to serve berries or grapes.
The steamer is just placed on top of a sauce pan with water in it and the water is boiled to steam the veggies. Each steamer comes with detailed instructions.
We've had people tell us it makes a fabulous meat loaf, letting the fat drain away. Haven't tried it yet, but sounds interesting.
